James Robert Chione was born on March 18,1940 in Aurora, IL – son of Dominic and Marie (Hilger) Chione and passed away on March 17, 2025, a few hours shy of his 85th birthday. James was a graduate of West Aurora High School in Aurora, Class of 1958, where he lettered in football and wrestling. After high school, James (or Jim as he was known), proudly served his country for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962, where he served as an Aircraft Electrician, and worked with NASA Astronaut, John Glenn ( who was the first person to orbit the earth). During his time in the Marine Corps James was recognized by receiving a Good Conduct Medal. After his military service ended, he returned to Aurora where he met and fell in love his wife Judith Schultz, whom he wed on June 29, 1963, at St. Rita of Cascia Church and they were married for nearly 62 years! James worked as a final assembler at All Steel for 32 years and then went on to have a successful career in real estate,
