David Joseph Banks, 76, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away on March 9, 2025. David was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Lewis Banks, his brother Robert "Ernie" Banks, and nephew Jeff Banks. He is survived by his sister, Gloria (Richard) Brolley and brother Donald (Karen) Banks; 6 nieces and nephews; Mark Alvis, Trisha Alvis, Kim Banks, Brian Banks, Todd Banks, and Cara Banks. He also leaves behind 14 great nieces and nephews.
David attended Aurora East High School before going on to serve two years in the U. S. Army, of which most of that time was spent in Germany. He loved cats, was a sun worshiper and a fisherman. He also loved Chicago sports teams; especially the Cubs, the Bears and the Blackhawks. He collected baseball cards and enjoyed watching "old" movies.
