Carmen Mercado, 80, of Aurora, IL passed away surrounded by her family on March 4, 2025. Carmen was born on April 16, 1944 in Tepehuanes, Durango, Mexico the daughter of Wenceslao Jaquez Corral and Esperanza Meza Carrera. In her hometown in Mexico, Carmen was a talented and renowned hairdresser. Clients would come from all over for her services. For many years, she skillfully transformed the lives of her clients, not only through her incredible work but also offering a listening ear and genuine care. It was more than a profession to her and she touched countless lives with her talents. Carmen was always hardworking and took great pride in her work. She worked for BRK Electronics (Systems Sensors) and retired after 27 years of dedicated service. A devout Catholic, Carmen was an active member at Sacred heart Church for many years and devoted her time to serving others. She was active in many ministries. She served her parish as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered her time washing and
