Neva Mae Dean-Kohler, age 98, of Shabbona, IL formerly of Hinckley, IL passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in Dekalb, IL. She was born on March 30, 1926 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of Otto and Caroline (Gradhand) Suckow.
Neva was united in marriage on March 29, 1959 at Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL to Mr. Arthur Dean. Together they raised their children and spent much of their married life together in Hinckley, IL until his passing on December 8, 2001. Neva later married Mr. LeRoy Kohler on November 27, 2004 and they spent the next 6 happy years together in Shabbona, IL until his passing on March 6, 2011. She was a proud mother and homemaker. Neva worked part time as a church secretary for many years at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley, IL. Quilting was a big part of her life and over the years she had made many lovely quilts for her friends and family. She was proud to be a part of many quilting clubs including DeKalb Coun
