Scott Ryan "Scotty" Hixson, 36, of Montgomery, Illinois, passed away on June 20, 2024. Born September 8, 1987, in Downers Grove, Illinois, Scotty was known for his immense heart and creative spirit.

Scotty graduated from Naperville North High School before earning his degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was a talented writer with a unique sense of humor and a passion for nostalgic movies, books, and jazz music, reflecting his old soul.

He is survived by his loving parents, Cindy Jilek-Hixson and Scott Randall Hixson; his brother, Sean Hixson; his grandfather, Raymond Jilek; and many caring aunts, uncles, and cousins. Scotty's ability to make each family member and friend feel cherished and appreciated will be deeply missed.

A private memorial service will be held in July 2024 to honor Scotty's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a special fund set up to plant a tree in his memory at the Morton Arboretum, a place he dearly loved. Donations can be
