James W. Thompson Born: December 15, 1944 Died: May 29, 2024 James W. Thompson, age 79, of Oswego, IL, passed away at Accentcare in Naperville, IL on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he was born December 15, 1944, son of William and Marion (DeSutter) Thompson. Jim married Carol Pratscher on April 24, 1976 and was happily married until her passing in 2003. He previously resided in Clayton, CA, and worked as a Systems Analyst at Air Liquide where he retired after many years of service. He loved to travel with Carol and continued traveling after retirement, especially enjoying Italy with his travel group. Jim was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and loved traveling to watch their games. He also loved his golden retrievers, adopted over the years. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Thompson; and his parents, William and Marion Thompson.
